It’s that time of year again for the Northwest TechExpo! This regional event is a showcase of Pacific Northwest technology companies and is a rare chance for the general public, and especially job seekers, to get face-to-face with tech leaders from our area.
This year’s event has an added layer of fun. Every attendee will be given 25 Bitcoin Bucks* at the door. Through the course of the evening, attendees can “invest” these bucks in the companies that they want to support. Before the end of the night, the “investment” for each company will be tallied and a winner will be announced.
In addition to company booths, there will also be a number of presentations made in the PechaKucha format. Bellingham’s own Rhys Faler will make a presentation on Bitcoin at 7:10pm. To cap the evening off, there will be an after party at Poppe’s, where the networking can continue over drinks.
Organized by the Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington, the 2015 Northwest TechExpo is a free event and it will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, April 24th at the Best Western Plus Lakeway Inn here in Bellingham.
